Indie Initiatives at IGDC 2025. Celebrating the spirit of independent game development.

IGDC 2025 continues its legacy of championing independent creators with a suite of curated programs designed to spotlight, support, and empower the indie community. From our flagship Indie 40 showcase to awards, mentorship, networking, and year-long accelerators, this is where the next wave of Indian games begins.

Indie 40

Showcasing the Top 40 indie games selected by the IGDC jury. Each team gets a table on the show floor to demo their game, meet the community, and connect with publishers and investors. Participants also gain access to Indie Spotlight, Indie Pitch, and Mentor Connect for added visibility and growth.

  • Submissions Open: 10th September 2025
  • Showcase: 5th to 7th November 2025 (Expo Hall)

Indie Spotlight

Indie Spotlight gives studios five minutes on stage to pitch or present their game. A QR code live vote crowns the audience favorite with the Indie Spotlight Award. Participants include Indie 40 teams, Expo teams, and pre-event submissions.

Indie Pitch

The Top 10 from Indie 40 pitch live to a jury of experts. This session highlights the best in indie creativity, with three awards: Best Pitch, Best Anticipated Game, and Best Game Design.

Mentor Café

Selected indie teams join exclusive roundtables with industry veterans. These sessions deliver feedback, guidance, and mentorship to help developers refine their games and careers.
